3-2-1 Contact

I just had an experience at the copy machine that brought back lessons learned from the hit 80's show 3-2-1 Contact.

There was an episode in which a girl was printing flyer's for school. After the teacher had shown her what to do and walked away, the girl thought, "Maybe I'll add one more to this printing job of twelve." Well, all hell broke loose when she realized that not only was it not printing twelve, it was printing one hundred and twelve! In a panic, she ran and got her teacher who saved the day by cutting off the machine before it printed the unnecessary copies.

I felt panicky watching the episode at 7 and panicky while trying to figure out how to fix a massive paper jam today at 27. Lesson learned: If television has taught me anything, it's not to watch it.
